The Upper Valley Youth Birding Club will start the season with an outing to Kilowatt South Park.
An introduction to the world of birding for ages ~8 to 14.
Learn where to find birds locally, how to identify them, how and why they behave as they do, and what we can all do to help them.
We will convene at the Kilowatt South Park boat ramp parking lot in Wilder, VT for about 2 hours of slow-paced birding, observing birds both on the Connecticut River and in the shrubby shoreline habitats. This site is one of the Upper Valley's premier birding hotspots with excellent opportunities to see both aquatic and terrestrial birds:

Binoculars will be provided for anyone who doesn’t have them, and three to four spotting scopes will be available for looking at more distant water birds.
